R.M. Dennistown House
166 Roslyn Road

166 Roslyn Road was built for the Honourable Mr. Justice Robert Maxwell Dennistown and his family in 1907. The home was designed by prominent Winnipeg architect John D. Atchison, who studied at the Chicage Art Institute. It was built for a cost of $15, 000 in the Tudor style, however it has an elaborate Gothic arched entranceway, and the transom windows are glazed with leaded glass in small panes. All these features combined are an attempt to imitate the manor houses of Medieval England.

The residence has been divided to contain five suites and remains one of the few private residences in the early suburb.
