Doors Open Winnipeg 2017 - FREE EVENT

Heritage Winnipeg presents Doors Open Winnipeg 2017 - May 27 & 28, 2017 held on the last weekend of May each year. This FREE public event celebrates Winnipeg’s unique spaces, architecture, and history, showcasing more than 85 remarkable buildings, sites and tours.

Doors Open Winnipeg offers the public a unique opportunity to explore buildings and go on tours that may not be accessible at any other time of the year. Since the first event in 2004, Doors Open Winnipeg has attracted more than 300,000 site visits, putting our incredible architecture, history, arts and culture on display. The 2016 event was one of our most successful years yet, with over 28,000 site visits over the weekend.

This year we're excited to many new participants such as the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Gordon King Memorial Church, McGregor Street Armoury, The White House, Robinson Building (Public Press Building), St. George's Anglican Church and Minto Armoury who will be opening their doors for the first time this year.

Doors Open favourites like the Dalnavert Museum and Vaughan Street Jail, along with 85 unique buildings and tours, are back for another year. You can check out the full list of featured buildings here.

So start planning your weekend now!  This is a wonderful FREE COMMUNITY EVENT that gives everyone the chance to explore our beautiful and truly unique city.
